A Poem to my Foster Dog

I am the bridge Between what was and what can be.

I am the pathway to a new life. I am made of mush,

Because my heart melted When I saw you,

Matted and sore, limping, depressed,

Lonely, unwanted, afraid to love.

For one little time you are mine.

I will feed you with my own hand

I will love you with my whole heart

I will make you whole.

I am made of steel.

Because when the time comes, When you are well and sleek,

When your eyes shine, And your tail wags with joy-

Then comes the hard part. I will let you go-- not without a tear,

But without a regret. For you are safe forever.

A new dog needs me now.

By Diane Morgan

When you foster a dog for Pug Rescue of North Carolina, we take your advice and opinions very

seriously. A dog's foster home provides us with very important information. We greatly appreciate

our foster families, and our foster families always keep us current as to how the dogs are doing in their care. We also try to place the dogs in a prompt manner, and make sure that all of our homes are superior families or individuals.

As soon as the dog is healthy we want to see them place ASAP in their forever homes.

When fostering for us, we agree that we will provide all of the medical care necessary for the dog.

In the case that the dog is fostered a VERY long distance away from us, we would like to set up an

account with a veterinarian in your area that will honor Rescue discounts. This enables us to pay

them directly, so you will never be held responsible for veterinary care.

What we expect in return is that you will treat your foster dog with total love, and we hope that you can provide general food, shampoo, nail trims and grooming for your foster dog. If that is not possible, we will try to work with you if we can.

Again, we thank you very much for your desire to help us, we definitely appreciate it! Please, if you

have room in your home and room in your heart, consider fostering a dog! It is one of the most

rewarding experiences in life that you could ever have. If you would like to talk to some of our current foster parents, feel free to email us and we can put you in touch with them!

(Due to the volume of applications, we are only able to contact those applicants who seem best-suited
for fostering the dogs we currently have on our waiting lists. Unless instructed otherwise, we will keep your application on file and contact you when and if a good match for you to foster which comes into our care.)

If you are applying to become an Official Rescue Representative for us please let us know in this application what you would like to do most to help us complete our goals.
